Connect TeamRetro to 8,000+ apps — no code

The moment a retrospective wraps, a health check completes or kudos is given, Zapier carries it into the tools your team already uses. Every TeamRetro trigger is real-time — no waiting on polling — and building a Zap takes minutes, not sprints.

Catch up the people who missed the retro

Not everyone makes every session. This Zap emails a recap (what was discussed, what was agreed) the moment a retrospective completes. Stakeholders stay in the loop without another meeting.

Works with: Gmail, Outlook.

Never lose a “we should talk about this in retro” moment

The best retro topics show up mid-week, in a support ticket or a bug report, and are forgotten by Friday. Tag a ticket retro in Zendesk or Intercom and this Zap parks it in TeamRetro automatically. Your next retro agenda builds itself.

Works with: Zendesk, Intercom.

Give kudos a bigger audience

Recognition shouldn’t stay locked in the session. When someone gives kudos in TeamRetro, this Zap shares it to Google Chat, or logs it to a recognition sheet so nothing gets lost come review season.

Works with: Google Chat, Google Sheets.

Keep your favourite tools in the loop

Already use our native Jira, Slack or Microsoft Teams integrations? Keep them — they’re deeper. Zapier shines for everything else: email, spreadsheets, support desks, calendars, CRMs, and the long tail of tools that make your team yours. Every TeamRetro trigger (real-time, webhook-based) is available to build with, plus actions and searches for multi-step Zaps.

Estimation is outbound only: a completed session hands your Zap the agreed results to send onward. Casting votes or creating estimates stays inside TeamRetro.

How it works

  1. Connect your TeamRetro account

Create an API key in TeamRetro under Account > Settings > API & SCIM, add TeamRetro to a Zap, then paste the key and pick your region (US or EU).

  2. Pick a trigger

Retrospective completed, health check completed, action item created or reassigned, kudos given, and more. Every one fires in real time.

  3. Add your actions

Send the outcome on to any of Zapier’s 8,000+ apps: email, spreadsheets, support desks, chat. Turn the Zap on and you’re done.

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect TeamRetro to Zapier?
Add TeamRetro as an app in your Zap and choose API key authentication. Create the key in TeamRetro under Account → Settings → API & SCIM (an account-scoped key), or under Team → Settings → API for a single team, then paste it into Zapier and select your Region (US or EU). Copy the key when it is created; TeamRetro shows it only once.
Which TeamRetro triggers and actions can I use in Zapier?
Triggers fire in real time when a retrospective, health check, or estimation is created or completed, when an action item is created, updated, completed, reassigned, or given a new due date, when kudos is given, and when a team member is invited. Actions and searches let a Zap create or update TeamRetro data, like action items and parked items, and look up teams, retrospectives and more mid-Zap.
Can Zapier submit estimates or votes back into TeamRetro?
No. Estimation is outbound only: a Zap triggers when an estimation session completes and hands you the agreed results, which you can then send to Jira, Linear, or a spreadsheet. Casting votes or creating estimates has to happen inside TeamRetro.
Do I need to write any code?
No. Zapier is a no-code automation platform: you connect TeamRetro to any of its apps by picking a trigger and an action in the Zap editor. For self-hosted, developer-owned automation with the full TeamRetro API, see our n8n integration instead.
Do I need a paid Zapier plan?
Single-step Zaps work on Zapier's free plan. Multi-step Zaps, like adding a search step before an action, need a paid Zapier plan.
Which region should I choose?
Match the region your TeamRetro account is hosted in: US or EU. Choosing the wrong region will fail the connection test in Zapier.
